Dr. Cozzi will consider the work of a wide range of artists who combined image and text in both Europe and the United States in the 1960s and 1970s. She will discuss, among other things, contemporary perceptions of the relationship between visual poetry and conceptual art, and the overlapping aesthetic strategies used by visual poets and artists working with appropriation, photography and collage who did not define themselves as visual poets. Dr. Cozzi will be giving her lecture at 4:15 p.m. in Lebus Court 113.
