On Wednesday, April 19, the Benton Museum of Art at 色中色, 120 W. Bonita Ave., Claremont, will unveil two new exhibits, 鈥Creation in Three Lines,鈥 and 鈥Unsettled Landscapes.鈥滲oth will be viewable 鈥 free and open to the public 鈥 until Sunday, July 23.
鈥淐reation in Three Lines,鈥 a gift of the Stanton and Jean Sutton Macdonald-Wright estate, features haiku illustrations by Santa Monica native and artist Stanton Macdonald-Wright. The show is curated by Max Uehara.
鈥淯nsettled Landscapes,鈥 includes works that focus on lithographs and linocuts from modern and contemporary artists Joe Andoe, Sandow Birk, Llyn Foulkes, Joe Goode, Stephen de Hospodar, Gerald Laing, and others, as is curated by Max Otake, a 2022 Pitzer College alumnus.
