Dean of Students

Asian American Resource Center

The Asian American Resource Center (AARC) helps Asian Pacific American students develop intellectually, socially, personally, academically and politically. Central to all programs, projects, and events is the value of developing leadership skills among APA students. Working in conjunction with the Intercollegiate Department of Asian American Studies (IDAAS), the AARC creates opportunities to raise awareness of issues affecting Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders. Office of Black Student Affairs

The Office of Black Student Affairs (OBSA) addresses the educational needs of students of African descent. The office, through its cultural programs and academic services, seeks to create a supportive environment for students that will help them attain their undergraduate and graduate degrees. OBSA is committed to diversity, and its programs and services are open to all students of The Claremont Colleges. 

Campus Safety

Campus Safety protects the persons and property of students, faculty, staff and visitors of The Claremont Colleges, assisting law enforcement and other emergency service providers as needed, by being the first responder to emergencies. They also provide around-the-clock safety escort service on campus, as needed.

Cultural Communities and Mentor Programs

Cultural Communities and Mentor Programs (CCMP) provides cultural resources, programs, and services that help Claremont College students thrive. We strive to improve students’ sense of belonging by exploring cultural identity and developing leadership and practical skills for self-agency & community advocacy. Visit CCMP website

Office of the Chaplains

The Chaplains of The Claremont Colleges empower and enhance spiritual life at The Claremont Colleges by integrating intellectual and spiritual growth, guiding questions about values, life choices and ethics; nurturing religious faith, building community, and training future leaders for service. Jewish, Catholic, Interdenominational, Muslim, Hindu, Buddhist, Latter-Day Saints, Christian Science, Zen Meditation, and other on-campus religious and spiritual groups meet at McAlister Center for worship services and programs overseen by the Chaplains.

Chicano/Latino Student Affairs

The Chicano/Latino Student Affairs Center (CLSA) is an educational support service that addresses student issues through academic, social and cultural programs. CLSA seeks to build community through a variety of activities and events designed to bring students together from the five colleges, including the mentoring every new student through the CLSA Sponsor Program.

Draper Center for Community Partnerships

The mission of the Draper Center for Community Partnerships is to foster mutually beneficial exchanges among community members, students, faculty and staff in order to support educational outreach initiatives, community-based research and learning, and other community engagement activities. Health Education Outreach

Health Education Outreach (HEO) helps empower students to make intentional healthy lifestyle choices. HEO provides relevant and appropriate health and wellness support and resources, to help students play an active role in achieving, protecting, and sustaining their health and wellness. Services include outreach programs and workshops, consultations with the health educator, free pregnancy testing, HIV testing and condoms, nutrition and eating disorder services, and more.

Office of Housing and Residence Life

The Office of Housing and Residence Life (OHRL) is responsible for the quality of residential life at Pomona. The Dean of Housing and Residence Life and his staff oversee the Residence Hall staff (which includes the resident advisors, head sponsors, the residence hall programmers, the RHS interns and sponsors), New Student Orientation, Faculty in Residence, Room Draw/Housing Assignments, and Family Weekend. Monsour Counseling and Psychological Services

Monsour Counseling and Psychological Services (MCAPS) is committed to promoting psychological wellness for all students served by The Claremont Colleges Services (TCCS). Our well-trained team of psychologists, psychiatrists, and post-doctoral and intern therapists offer support for a range of psychological issues in a confidential and safe environment.

Outdoor Education Center

The mission of the Outdoor Education Center is to provide the É«ÖÐÉ« community with educational, recreational, and social opportunities that focus on local communities and global environments. Using the outdoors as a classroom, our programs strive to offer co-curricular outdoor experiences that develop leadership skills and promote responsibility, while maintaining balance between personal, professional, and academic pursuits. Queer Resource Center

The Queer Resource Center is a 7-College resource center serving the lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, asexual, omnisexual, pansexual and allied community at The Claremont Colleges.

Smith Campus Center

The Smith Campus Center offers both student programming and space for student activities and student-oriented offices, including the Smith Campus Center Student Programs Office, the ASPC Office, Coop Store, Coop Fountain, Café 47, Student Mail Center, Asian American Resource Center, Quantitative Skills Center, Poster Lab, Center for Speaking, Writing, and the Image (CSWIM), Doms Lounge, and Rose Hills Theatre. Student Disability Resource Center

The Student Disability Resource Center (SDRC) is the centralized resource center for support for students with disabilities across the 7C campus communities. The SDRC works closely with the Disability Coordinators on all the campuses to ensure that students receive academic support services and accommodations to empower them to achieve their academic goals, while ensuring equitable treatment and access to all programs and activities across all campuses. Student Health Services

Student Health Services (SHS) is committed to promoting the physical health and wellness for all students served by The Claremont Colleges Services (TCCS). Its well-trained team of doctors, nurse practitioners, and medical support staff provides full-service care including laboratory and basic imaging, dispensary, and immunizations. Appointments scheduled in advance are offered at no charge to students. Labs, imaging and limited prescriptions are available at reasonable fees.

Title IX and Campus Advocacy Resources Education and Support (CARES)

Women's Union

The Women’s Union, located in the Upper Lounge in Walker Hall, is a resource center for those interested in exploring gender-related issues. The WU has an extensive library and provides space for meetings and social gatherings. It sponsors weekly discussion groups and cultural field trips. Visit the Women's Union website
